About Me
I have a passion for the use of creative arts as a means of supporting well-being and providing opportunity for community engagement having worked with a wide range of participant groups over the years. This has ranged form pre-school aged children to working in older adult rehabilitation wards within a healthcare setting.
My personal art practice is just as wide ranged as the participants I work with, while I have experience working with a diverse selection of media, my main passion is photography. I have been drawn to this from a young age. It gives me an escape, a way of making alone or equally one that I can use to engage others. I predominantly photograph my surroundings, this being nature as well as a documentation of my travels, creating lasting memories that highlight the beauty of the places I have been. Alongside using photography in my art practice, I also developed a professional career as a photographer, having been commissioned by organisations such as the Bristol Methodist Circuit, as well as musical artists to both document and develop their creative identity.
I have acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Creative and Therapeutic arts, I hope to go on to study at post graduate level allowing me to become an Art Psychotherapist.
